Just a short flight away from the United States sits the small island of Roatan, the unforgettable island that Nomad Navigation is exploring this year!
Underwater experiences showcasing vibrant coral reefs and abundant marine life give you a new and exciting experience every time you go under the bubbles. Clear turquoise waters provide excellent visibility, allowing divers to explore an array of ecosystems, from shallow lagoons to deeper wall dives. With warm temperatures year-round, Roatan is a prime destination for those seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Caribbean Sea. We will have a personal villa for the Nomad group that is close to the beach and steps to the dive boats. Relax in the roof top pool as you watch the scarlet Macaws fly over you and watch the sunset over the water.
What you’ll get

✺Day Dives
Fun dives are included for all participants. Day dive sites are chosen based on weather, visibility, and the level of diver present on the boat. Roatan boasts 16 reef dives, 10 wall dives, & 6 drift dives.

✺Night Dive
Explore the ocean at night with a night dive! Divers will be taken out with our guides to see what happens when the sun goes down under the water.

✺ Dive Education
All education is included in the dive package. From eLearning to the cost of the instructors, all of it is taken care of for you.

✺Personal Chef
Dinners before each dive day and brunch on the trip’s free day are included and prepared for by a personal chef at the Villa. Enjoy settling down to a freshly cooked meal without having to do anything but experience local cuisine at home.

✺ SCUBA Gear
BCD, Mask, Fins, Oxygen Tanks, Regulator, all other dive equipment is included.
Torch and Dive Computers are included when applicable as well.

✺Transportation
All on island transportation to and from trip events and activities:
Shuttles to and from airport, free day transportation during Island Tour, boat transportation to and from dive sites.
Flights to and from Roatan are not included in the price of the package.

✺Meals & Snacks
Dive Boat snacks during dive intervals are provided for the divers and house snacks are provided during the week. Dinner on the final night at a local restaurant is also on us!

Explore the island of Roatan on the free day tour. Explore island chococlate, rum tours, and visit the most popular resident of the island, the sloths!

✺Trip Hosts
You will have 2 trip hosts who will be available during the trip to answer any questions you have, offer insight into the schedule, and help ensure you have the best experience in Roatan.

✺Housing
Private accommodations overlooking the Caribbean Sea with private rooms and bathrooms. A rooftop deck and pool give private escapes for the group throughout the week after spending a day underwater.

New to this Year!
Friends and/or family that don’t dive and don’t want to learn? They can join! Package will include accommodations, private chef meals, transportation, & free day island tour.
*This additional person will need to be sharing a room/bed with the diver they are accompanying on the trip. Non-divers cannot occupy a room alone.

✺Small Group Environment
This trip is limited to 10 divers (max 8 new divers). This keeps dive boats and accommodations at a small group vibe and give you a customized trip experience.

Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to the beautiful island of Roatan! You’ll be picked up from the airport and taken to the private villa Nomad Navigation has arranged for your stay. Relax and enjoy the afternoon on the rooftop or enjoy your private room with the Caribbean breeze cooling you down. Spend the night getting to know your fellow divers during dinner at the villa enjoying our private chef’s first meal.

Day 2: Dive Day
Wake up and get ready for the first day of diving! Pack a bag with house provided snacks and walk steps to the water where our local dive shop will pick up everyone and take us out for the day! Open Water students will start their journey to certification, refresher course divers will knock the rust off their skills, and certified divers will explore their first dive site right away. The next dives will feature everyone on the boats together and dive sites will be split up into appropriate groups based on skill level. The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the pool and then dinner will be served by our Villa Chef to the groups convenience.

Day 3: Dive Day!
Another beautiful day under the bubbles awaits you on the island. Wake up and be greeted by the boat waiting to take you out to new dive sites to explore. Today features 2 dives, so an earlier ending will allow you to have ample time to explore the West End on your own or enjoy the Villa. Tonight our chef will prepare our final night of dinner for us, but not to worry, she will be back!

Dive 4: Night Dive
Today Open Water divers will be officially certified following Dive 1! Congrats to joining the PADI family! Dive 2 is a fun dive for all, and some free time to explore before we embark on the Night Dive. Grab dinner at a local restaurant and join us as we venture into the world of night diving.

Day 5: Free Day
Today is a no bubbles kind of day. Sleep in if you wish, or wake up and enjoy the sunrise over the trees and waves. Our chef will rejoin the villa and prepare brunch for everyone to start out the day. Later we will explore the island and check out uniques experiences and views that showcase the entire island that you haven’t seen before, including a visit with one of Roatan’s famous residents. Round out the night by joining your hosts for a farewell dinner on us!

Day 6: Departure Day
One last sunrise on the island is what today brings. Nomad Navigation will provide you with a shuttle to the airport to leave the island. Take the time to look over pictures, plan your next dive trip, or explore the next place you’d like to join us under the water!
Frequently asked questions

Swimming 200 meters without stopping and being able to tread water are basic qualifications for taking PADI Open Water. These are up to you to decide if you meet these or not.

Absolutely! We work with a chef that is able to work with all food allergies to make sure you are fed and feeling great on the trip.

Yes of course! Diving might not be for everyone but we don’t want you to miss out on this beautiful trip. A separate price will allow you to enjoy Rotan without the diving.

We do not pay for alcohol on any of our trips. While a drink here or there may be provided, Nomad Navigation believes that alcohol consumption should be a private choice for participants. New divers are strongly encouraged to refrain from excessive drinking before any dive day.

The airport to Roatan is the Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport. The airport code is RTB.

Flights to and from Roatan, tips for dive guides/instructors, meals not mentioned in the What’s Included portion of the page, and any activity not part of the itinerary will be at the client’s private cost.

The first 30 days of the trip will include a $100 early bird discount on the final balance. Discounts do not stack with any other offers and are applied to final invoices only.
